We currently have a vacancy for part-time experienced Practice Nurse to work approximately 27 hours per week over 3 days Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in our friendly and supportive practice nursing team.
Peel View Medical Centre is an urban/semi-rural practice with our main surgery in Kirkintilloch and branch surgeries in Lennoxtown and Lenzie. Providing general medical services to the town and surrounding areas with a practice population of 10,500 patients. We have a supportive practice team of seven GP Partners, a practice nurse, advanced nurse practitioner and health care support worker. Also working with us we have a prescribing support pharmacist and community treatment room nurses.
We are looking for a friendly, motivated, hardworking applicant who will contribute to our inclusive dynamic nursing team. The role will be diverse, supporting the health and well-being of our patients living with complex chronic diseases. Alongside the delivery of nursing care and health screening. Ideally the successful candidate will be able to evidence certified training in chronic disease management areas such as: Asthma, Diabetes, COPD, CHD and also be proficient in cervical cytology and sexual health/family planning within a GP practice setting. V300 non-medical prescribing qualification desirable but not essential to the post.
All applicants should hold a valid NMC registration and be eligible to work in the UK and have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills as well as a willingness to work collaboratively and be an active part of our practice team.
The Practice will provide a supportive environment for continued professional development. The successful applicant will be motivated to develop new skills and the practice will encourage and support this.
Practice Nursing experience is preferable, however applications from other nursing backgrounds will be considered if candidates can demonstrate transferable skills.
We use EMIS and Docman clinical systems alongside SCCRS and SCI diabetes.
