Our York based client is seeking a City Centre Driver, ideally with a full HGV licence or at least a CPC Drivers Card, as well as the ability to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes.

Successful candidates will work 37 hours a week, including Saturday and Sunday. The rota is based around 8 days on and 6 days off.

This role will initially be for 3 months, potentially longer. The rate of pay is £11.77 per hour, increasing to £12.95 over weekends.

The role will involve:

Driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle around the city centre of York, emptying city centre bins. This role involves carrying and lifting as well as bending, so candidates need to be physically fit.

For this role you must, as a minimum, have a CPC Driver Card. Having an HGV licence would be hugely beneficial.

You will be working outdoors in all weathers all of the time and there will be daily contact with dirt, dust and traffic noise, as well as members of the public.

PPE clothing will be provided.
