Job Description


Are you enthusiastic about chemical and process engineering? Do you want to have the opportunity to apply knowledge in an industrial setting? At PB Leiner, we have an exciting opportunity for a Year In Industry Student to work within our well established and friendly process engineering team.

We are looking for somebody to join us for a 12 month placement, starting in June 2023.

The Year In Industry Student will work closely with multiple departments, get experience of our full process (raw material to finished product) and have the opportunity to get involved in many different projects and activities.

Are you self-motivated, professional, keen to learn, and reliable? If you thrive working in a fast paced environment and are able to work both independently and as part of the team, then you may have the skills we are seeking.

You will be involved in:

  • The analysis of process data
  • Process monitoring
  • The implementation of small improvements projects
  • Taking part in problem solving exercises
  • Interfacing with many different departments and job roles from operators to plant managers
  • Providing support to engineers and department heads
  • The Health and Safety of all our employees is of utmost importance and you will be expected to comply with all the requirements in place

Qualifications


Be studying for a degree in Chemical Engineering or similar and achieving a 2:1 or higher

  • Work well individually or as part of a team
