The role
As the Head of Department, you will lead and manage the service delivery of the administrative team, who are committed to delivering the highest quality administrative outcomes in a supported environment. You will manage the following areas: reception, appointment bookings, medical records and medical secretaries. The role will involve engagement with consultants and doctors to arrange theatre lists and outpatient clinics, and responsibility for managing patient waiting lists and maintaining relationships with local NHS trusts.
What you’ll bring with you
- Management Experience and/or demonstrated ability to manage a team.
- Effective communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate commercial and financial awareness.
- Good computer skills (MS Office package).
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- The ability to make decisions and use your initiative.
