We have a role within the IT Assortment team on a 23 month fixed term contract as a Project Coordinator. This role will support the National Buying teams with a whole host of applications. The landscape continues to evolve with a multitude of projects all with the aim of achieving greater efficiencies and better user experience. To stay on top of this ever-changing roadmap you will need to be an organised and adaptable individual. The Project Coordinator role in projects is a great opportunity to play a part in shaping and supporting the future of the ALDI world.

You will work closely with our National Business Coordination team but also be able to form relationships in Internal IT and across the ALDI global network.

You will be responsible for several concurrent projects and therefore attention to detail, efficiency, and ability to successfully balance multiple priorities will be key. You will be required to collaborate with various business departments and have good communication and organisational skills. The position requires strong logical and analytic skills with a focus on attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment demanding adaptability to changing prioritised requirements.

Your New Role

  • Complete end-to-end ownership of project delivery
  • Responsible for creating and managing (monitoring, review and amending timelines) project plans
  • Risk and Issue Management to identify and mitigate and resolve risks and issues
  • Management of third-party suppliers to deliver projects within agreed timeframes, acting as the interface between the business and system integrator
  • Provide and present weekly status reporting into the relevant project stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsor
  • Work with project team and individuals to establish procedures, plans and practices that promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and the sustainability of desired results
  • Ensures policy compliance within area of responsibility
  • Working closely with the NBC team to provide support for testing concerning data related demands
  • Conduct regular reporting of risks, issues surrounding data quality
  • Being a Technical Leader to assign tasks to other selected members of the team and supervise results
  • Analysing and defining application support requirements in preparation for service go-live
  • Helping to coordinate and execute UAT and Hypercare for IT and Business
  • Planning and delivering IT training to National IT experts where applicable


About You

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritise
  • Experience of project management life cycle (design, development, testing and implementation)
  • Able to work independently, upon their own initiative and at a fast pace
  • Experience of defining and proactively managing a project plan and delivering through others
  • Experience of gathering and interpreting business requirements
  • Is able to take significant responsibility with a pragmatic, goal-oriented approach
  • Be self-motivated, adaptable, and have the ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Is able to coordinate complex topics across teams, departments and business alike
  • Experience of Stakeholder Management and communication (internal & external)
  • Understanding of demand and release management processes
