We are seeking a passionate individual who is committed to environmental sustainability and has comprehensive knowledge of waste collection and waste management services.
The postholder will be the Council’s lead on the development, implementation and management of the Council’s waste related strategies, policies and projects, and its waste communications.
The postholder will have strong project management and operational delivery experience in order to support Knowsley's implementation of the new waste and recycling legislation including the launch of a new food waste service and extended kerbside recycling schemes.
The postholder will develop a new communication and engagement programme and will work closely with our waste collections contractor, the Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority, a range of council services and the community at large to help us achieve a major step change in the borough on the waste agenda.
