Job Description

Are you an inspirational Teacher?

Do you want to be part of an exciting new school community?

As part of several very exciting developments, Phoenix Education is expanding its provisions, therefore we are delighted to announce that we recently opened a new independent co-educational school within Warmley, South Gloucestershire. The school will provide learning and supportive environment activities to 20-25 children and young people from Key Stages 2-4 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a truly therapeutic environment where our dedicated in-house therapy team work seamlessly with education staff to provide meaningful packages of support that enable children and young people to reach their individual potential.

Due to this exciting development, we are looking to recruit a Qualified Special Educational Need (SEN) Teacher to join our team and to help us set up this brand-new service. Ideally, you will have a specialism in one of the subjects listed below and be willing to lead this area and help create a dynamic and meaningful curriculum.

We are specifically interested in receiving applications from teachers within the areas of maths, English, science, PSHE, ITC, arts or humanities. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your practise in a forward thinking, creative and therapeutic environment where a strong and united team ethic will ensure that the needs of our young people are at the centre of all we do.

Neptune School will eventually cater for a maximum of 20 students, so positions are likely to be in high demand. If you are excited to really make a difference, and feel that you have what it takes to help make this schools become Outstanding, then please get in touch.

Role:

In your role, you will be responsible for delivering Person-Centred inspirational education. You will have a full understanding of the statutory framework within which teachers work and apply this, in order to enable our students to flourish and develop.

You will have a proven track record of working with children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs, including those with autism and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. You will have a passion for teaching and learning, and for creating successful opportunities for our students within a nurturing environment.

We are seeking teachers who are committed to enriching the lives of others. Therefore, you will have experience of working in a school environment, as well as possessing up to date knowledge of relevant curriculum development, focusing on current educational policy specifically related to Special Educational Needs.

As a critical member of the team you will play an instrumental role in helping shape the school and position it as a sector leading provider of inspirational education. You will help to further build on the Phoenix Learning and Care reputation for delivering high-quality teaching and support to those that often challenge conventional mainstream settings.

Looking after you, with sector leading benefits!

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits that are designed to make your day a bit brighter. Please see some of the benefits listed below:
