Breakfast/Lunch Manager Job Description
To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly, and effective approach. To assist with the responsibility for the day-to-day running of breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea service within the restaurant within the overall policies and controls established by the Company and Hotel General Manager, ensuring that the brand values and standards are delivered, and profitability achieved.
To constantly exceed guest expectations, delivering the highest standards of customer service, at times under great pressure.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will ensure the smooth and successful running of the breakfast, Lunch, and Afternoon Tea Service in a 4-star Hotel. We are looking for someone who is naturally passionate about ensuring the guest has the best food and beverage experience, starting at the most important part of the day, Breakfast.
Customer Focus:
· To implement the consistent delivery of superior customer service
· To ensure that the department creates a professional impression to customers and team members.
· To participate with action on Customer Service Reports relevant to your department to achieve positive and consistent results.
· To act on customer feedback relevant to your areas of responsibility. This to include customer complaints and compliments.
Business Awareness:
· To assist with the control and monitor payroll costs by ensuring rotas are compiled in line with forecasted and actual business levels
· Drive revenue but to equally control costs within the F&B department to ensure an effective and profitable operation.
Specific Job Accountabilities
· Assembling / disassembling of the buffet.
· Ensuring the buffet always remains well-stocked.
· 4* plated food service alongside buffet.
· Receiving food/beverage orders and processing accordingly.
· Handling the change over from breakfast to lunch, and afternoon tea service.
· Looking after and overseeing lunch & afternoon tea orders in the restaurant and lounge area.
· Covering the bar where required.
· Resolving customer queries/complaints.
· Managing the team efficiently.
· Recruitment & Training of new members.
· Knowledge of menu items along with dietaries or allergens.
· To ensure effective stock rotation and maintain stock levels in accordance with hotel business and company policy. This includes storage and use of equipment.
· To assist with stock-takes where required.
· To always follow procedures for food and beverage controls.
· To assist with maintaining and improving departmental operating standards.
· Duty Management shifts as required
Growing the Business:
· To positively approach sales opportunities to maximize sales revenue and exceed budgeted sales targets for the department.
· To assist with and suggest new promotional opportunities to enable departmental sales to meet and exceed the budget.
· To keep all department team members sales focused.
People Management:
· To assist with leading and motivating the departmental team to promote good employee morale and ensure a high level of commitment and pride in the Hotel.
· To carry out planned training and development in a systematic and professional way to meet the needs of the business and assist in individual team member’s personal development.
· To continuously coach colleagues in the F&B areas through leading by example.
· To measure the success of food and beverage services training in meeting departmental objectives.
· To consistently manage HR of the team within company policies and guidelines.
