Nottinghamshire County Council are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their MASH Team.
Hourly Rate £32 p/h
Office based in Annesley. Expected in office 1-2 times every two weeks.
Job Description:
An experienced Adult Social Worker is required to join a busy and fast paced MASH team. Completing safeguarding first line of enquiries, the worker will be able to hit the ground running, having a good understanding of legislation and guidance relevant to the role (e.g., Care Act Safeguarding Principles, Making Safeguarding Personal & Mental Capacity Act). The role is predominately home-based; however, a hybrid model is in place (currently office-based 1 - 2 times per fortnight).
Although primarily a triage/ first line of enquiry service, the worker will be able to see safeguarding through from end to end, ensuring risks stemming from abuse or neglect is removed/ reduced.
The MASH Adults Social Worker role will include: -
Complete first line of enquiries into safeguarding concerns, should it be suspected an adult has experienced abuse or neglect within Nottinghamshire (in line with and establishing safeguarding thresholds).
Progress cases to full Section 42 Enquiries (completed by locality teams)/ or close as proportionate.
Be part of a hybrid approach to office working (currently office attendance being once/twice per week).
Complete end to end Safeguarding enquires where a face to face/ visit is not required.
Cause others to investigate matters relating to safeguarding, where thresholds are met and proportionate to do so.
Work in a fast-paced environment completing between 3 - 5 first line of enquiries per day.
Be part of the continual service development within the MASH.
Multiagency partnership working to include working closely with MASH Police & MASH Health.
Ensure work is completing in line with Safeguarding principles of the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal.
