As a business analyst you will be a part of a global team delivering key aspects of the workflow product vision & strategy. You will partner closely with product managers, technology, data science and operational leads to translate the users' and businesses' needs, plus the needs of key partners to determine, define and execute a workflow strategy that aligns to the program vision.
The Payments Workflow Team forms part of the Interaction Management Program committed to delivering better ways of working for our JPM Operations Users across CIB wholesale payments. The Workflow Product Team aims to bring teams, processes, data and intelligence together onto a unified platform to deliver exceptional user experience, reduce operational risks, and enable efficient resolution.
This will be achieved by providing a robust workflow tooling solution that can access data from many applications, providing a configurable and scalable outcome.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements using interviews, document analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, break down high-level information into details, design and produce business process maps, partnering closely with Operations teams to advance discovery and designs . Provide support and recommendations to the business owner to keep the project moving forward.
- Document business requirements and understand business priorities to ensure that user's needs are accurately reflected in the development planning and work with the technical team throughout the development phase to ensure the suitability of the provided solutions.
- Ensure that business requirements are effectively translated into detailed functional and technical specifications from which appropriate business systems can be implemented or existing systems enhanced.
- Engage with the business during user acceptance testing to ensure that the final product meets the requirements of the business.
- Effectively communicate to the business and stakeholders what changes are being made during the project lifecycle.
- Assist in preparing business cases for proposed systems, identifying the benefits and costs.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Prior experience as a Business Analyst ideally in a large corporation, client service, operational or technology environment
- Ability to produce concise and objective specifications of business needs, articulating complex concepts clearly to differing audiences
- Experience in challenging the business to consider all options available and provide recommendations to ensure projects are progressing.
- Experience of process design and improvements with the ability to deliver under pressure and to tight timescales.
- Ability to work with large complex processes and identify clear opportunities to improve and redesign processes
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
- Strong Decision-Making Skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Prior experience or working knowledge of web and database technologies
- Prior experience and understanding of CIB Operations business areas and Payments lifecycle knowledge
