Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Nursing Associate at Maister Lodge Inpatient Unit.
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate that they can work as part of a team, have very good communication and organizational skills and have a collective approach to managing risk, complex clinical presentations and crisis situations. Applicants are required to have the nursing associate qualification.
A variety of hours are available but these roles cover a 24 hour seven day a week service.
Maister Lodge is a 14 bedded inpatient unit predominantly for patients with an organic diagnosis where we constantly strive to deliver person centred care, work with an unmet needs principle to understanding challenging behaviour where all patients care is formulated using a multidisciplinary approach.
- The registered Nursing Associate will work as part of the Nursing workforce supporting Registered Nurses to deliver high quality, person centred, compassionate care to patients.
- They will be part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering planned care to a group of patients working within the standards of proficiency outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and in accordance with Trust policies and protocols.
- They will demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide support/ guidance to less experienced staff/ learners within the clinical environment as needed and delegate care if appropriate
- To supervise/support identified healthcare assistants
- To promote the health and wellbeing of patients
