We are looking for an experienced and customer focused individual to join the Home Ownership Team as a Housing Officer covering Somerset. This is a 10 month opportunity to cover maternity leave.
This role is a fast-paced customer facing position, with a varied workload and strong collaboration across the Customer Services teams.
Our goal is to provide a seamless housing management experience for our customers, providing great customer focus in whatever we do. You will work independently in challenging situations and with changing priorities striving to add value to everything you do.
What you’ll be doing
As a Housing Officer you will be responsible for all aspects of lease and estate management in a defined geographical area. You will work closely with our colleagues in Housing, Asset Management Service Charges, to ensure our customers have a coordinated and consistent service and act as specialist by training and advising colleagues as required on leasehold management. You’ll be liaising with a variety of audiences including customers, shareholders and external agencies and partners.
About you
We are looking for someone with a housing management background who has a clear passion for customer experience, resilient, and has a demonstrable “can do” attitude.
You will need strong communication skills and a solutions-focused approach with a desire to achieve the best outcome for our customers as well as Aster.
You will have knowledge and/or experience of housing law including as well as experience of tenancy and estate management and enforcement. You will have a demonstrable record of delivering excellent customer service and experience of working in a customer facing environment.
Excellent administration and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise effectively and manage your own demanding workload is a requirement for this position.
You must have a full, clean driving licence and access to a car for work purposes. You will be making visits and carrying out estate inspections across Somerset and on occasion be required to attend team meetings in other regions, the rest of the week you can decide whether you wish to work from home or the office.
You’ll have regular virtual catch ups with the team and wider team meetings are often held in our offices across all regions, so you’ll very much feel the benefits of the people around you.
