We are a 12,500 patient practice in Lee on the Solent. We are delighted to announce that we have a position to join our team in Urgent Care.
You should be working in primary care with a background of a Physicians Associate, Paramedic, Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for registered and temporary patients.
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake duties of face to face and telephone consultations.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within practice.
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
To be able to prescribe and issue prescriptions or be prepared to do training courses if required.
Working hours between 8.00am - 6.30pm, Mon to Fri.
Main duties:
Working in the Same Day Team diagnosing and treating patients with minor illness and other urgent presentations face-to-face or via telephone.
Request and interpret tests e.g. blood tests, imaging and ECGs, to further aid the diagnosis of complex conditions
Refer patients to colleagues.
Use various consultation techniques e.g. in-person consultations, remote assessments utilising technology
Participate in Practice meetings.
Undertake regular continued professional development
To action eConsults.
Qualifications Essential criteria

Prescribing qualification History taking and physical assessments Decision making and diagnostics qualification
Experience Essential criteria
Experience of clinical work in general practice and/or an urgent care service
