About Us

The Hope and Anchor is a newly renovated riverside contemporary restaurant, with the main pub and 12 stunning rooms due to open April 2023. We are currently recruiting a Duty Manager/ Restaurant Supervisor to join us at our beautiful riverside Inn and take charge of the restaurant and bar. The Hope and Anchor is a 2 minute walk from the town Centre, situated on the bank of the River Wye, the gateway to the Wye valley, boasting a riverside location with stunning gardens and outside space to enjoy dining by the river. The newest property in the Country House Weddings Group portfolio the right candidate will be joining a large group of enthusiastic, hospitality professionals with years of experience.

About You

You will be driven, motivated, and up for a challenge. You will be looking to take the Restaurant, Bar and Pub offering to the next level and looking to progress your career within a premium pub environment.

Requirements & Responsibilities

· Management experience with a strong commercial background

· The drive to lead a team to ensure all aspects of operations are of a very high standard.

· Ensure a high level of customer service and implement procedures in order to maintain this.

· You will be a Personal License Holder (National Certificate for Personal License Holder (B11AB Level 2) or be prepared to undertake the necessary training.

Key requirements for the post

No formal qualifications are required although experience in any of the following is essential:

· People management

· Hospitality management

· Marketing including social media

· Hotel and catering services
