Finance Clerk
Based in Chippenham
Paying £24-27 - dependant on experience
6 month fixed term contract

An exciting opportunity for a finance clerk to join a facilities maintenance company!

The main tasks are:

• Set up new vendors or request amendments to existing vendors on behalf of the requestors.
• Raise purchase orders and ensure they are approved or that the reason for rejection is communicated back to the requestor
• Book goods /services into the system against the purchase orders based upon information provided by purchase order requestors
• Chase requestors for confirmation to book in, if informed by Accounts Payable the invoice has arrived
• Liaise with procurement, finance, purchase order requestors, approvers or the vendors as necessary
• Other adhoc tasks for example reviewing which purchase orders are complete and can be closed, liaising with the business for confirmation
• Manage the purchase order mailbox

The ideal candidate will be:

• Computer literate
• Ideally has some experience in transactional processing on an ERP system - e.g. order processing, putting invoices on etc
• Have a positive and friendly manner
• Be confident to chase requestors and approvers for information required
• Is a self-starter and happy to just get on with the role
