FMCG business require a Buyer. Applicants should have international supply chain and sourcing experience, be able to drive supplier performance and be capable of developing strong vendor/customer relationships.

The Buyer will work within a commercial sourcing function and be responsible for the procurement of finished products from international vendors. A commercial and relationship focused role, The Buyer will own a series of customer and supplier accounts.

Specific duties of the Buyer include:

• Drive suppliers against operational metrics, such as OTIF
• Monitor of stock and inventory management
• Develop new supply chain relationships with manufactures/re-sellers/distributors etc
• Seek to gain competitive advantage - cost, payment terms, delivery etc.
• Work with procurement colleagues to streamline and improve processes

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or as a Buyer
• Commercial acumen
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers/suppliers
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
