Salary: £30,000-£35,000 (pro rata)

Location: Home based, but candidates must be located in Dorset to cover sites in the Blanford and Bovington areas

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and motivated Trainee Voids Works Supervisor to join the VIVO team. To oversee the day-to-day delivery of the Housing Maintenance service.

This role reports to the VIVO Delivery Manager; experience for someone who as experience on working voids or trades background and who is looking to next steps into supervision and who is willing to learn on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• To manage the day-to-day operations, delivering void maintenance and to ensure all MI are undertaking successfully for the service family’s
• Undertake voids WIP inspections
• Ensure all Voids meet the move in standard
• Conduct joint inspection with service partners
• To undertake minor works on any voids when required
• To provide strong and effective leadership to the team, ensure staff are effective in their roles, supported and motivated.
• To develop the service and individuals to achieve a highly organised operational delivery to our voids.
• To work collaboratively with colleagues, delivering on customer, operational and financial targets in line with the business plan.
• To manage sub-contractors supporting the delivery of void works, ensuring high levels of quality and satisfaction.
• To meet KPI performance and customer satisfaction targets for the service area as defined by Vivo SLAs.
• Undertaking site audits – relating to H&S compliance
• Close liaison with the Delivery Manager to manage poor performance of the supply chain
• To act as first point of contact in OOH escalation process

What you’ll need to do the role:

Essential Skills:

• Have good communication, and people skills.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Customer Service Experience.
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills:

• Level 2 diploma or equivalent e.g. NVQ in a maintenance trade.
• Have a knowledge of Schedule of Rates.

No previous experience is required for this role as full training will be given.

As part of the role you will have access to a works van to travel between sites in North Devon and Somerset.

Security clearance is required for our sites, successful applicants will be expected to achieve either BPSS or SC clearance as a condition of appointment into the role.
