Company Description


The primary responsibility of the Flow Room Technician is to be the first line of communication for the on-site operation team.

You will be reporting and escalating issues and monitoring flow of all automation processes. Collecting and inputting data of performance, breakdowns and planned downtimes for any automation equipment on site. Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures and external regulations including quality, health and safety and environment.

The Flow Room Technician reports to the Senior Control Room Supervisor


Job Description


Shift pattern: 12 hour shifts - 4 on 4 off (rotation of days/nights)

  • Monitor the flow of all automated processes, reacting to breaks in service and directing appropriate colleagues to incidents according to priority
  • Collect data about all breakdowns and follow the escalation process, producing accurate reporting from the information collected
  • Log issues in correct ticketing system providing detailed but concise information about each ticket
  • Maintain communication link between automation engineers and operational management team
  • Implements quality assurance and continuous improvement procedures
  • Following strict guidelines from incident flows and compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
  • Analyse picking waves to prioritise workload according to business need

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving mindset and able to think logically and calmly under pressure
  • Able to manage, prioritise and delegate a busy workload
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment to specific targets and deadlines with excellent attention to detail
  • PC literate, an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft products is essential
  • Thorough understanding of all automated warehouse processes
