Have you thought about a career in Pharmacy? Due to promotion of the current postholder we are seeking a new team member in Team Dispensary, Royal Derby hospital (RDH).

In this post you will be working towards a level 2 pharmacy course to be able to undertake the role of Assistant Technical officer as per the attached job description.
The role will include:
- Meeting and greeting people at the reception hatch
- Accepting Outpatient prescriptions
- Taking prescription charges
- Stock control and co-coordinating the delivery and collection of prescriptions
- Filling of emergency drug stock boxes.
- Aiding the main dispensary with stock counts and stock rotation
The Main Dispensary
The innovative use of IT is important to us and we are continually looking for new opportunities. We have robotic dispensing, bar-coded prescription tracking and electronic prescribing and discharge systems.
The department is friendly and supportive, operating within a modern environment having gone through a full refurbishment in winter 2017.
The department is a 24 hour department and the core working hours for the Dispensary are 8.00am until 8.00pm.
This position would suit someone with a keen eye for detail and who is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including other healthcare professionals and members of the public. The ideal candidate will be a good team player, enthusiastic and proactive with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent IT skills are also a must as there is extensive use of technology within the dispensary.
You will be required to complete a GPhC- approved level 2 pharmacy course.
