Job Description

Salary: £11.95 per hour
Duration: Up to 3 months
Location: Regent's University London (with flexibility to work some of the time remotely)

We have a summer intern opportunity, starting at the end of term, available in our Events team.

You will be based at the University, although there might be some flexibility to work remotely, working up to 35 hours per week

This is a great opportunity for you to learn and gain experience within a vibrant and exciting department at Regent's.

You will also gain access to some staff benefits, including a £6 a day allowance to spend in University catering outlets (when onsite) and free language classes (subject to availability).

Events Intern

  • Support the University's Events Department with day-to-day duties
  • Develop an understanding of the running, processes and operation of a successful events team.
  • Answer queries and prepare weekly business sheets for internal departments within the University, to ensure the smooth running of internal events
  • Send quotations for catering or events, contracts and all correspondence to clients in relation to their bookings
  • Assist the team in running large conferences (of up to 370 guests), corporate events (such as BBQ's for up to 750 people) and weddings receptions (for up to 110 people)
