The Communications Directorate is responsible for leading and developing the Bank's external and internal communications. We maintain the relationships with key stakeholder groups including the Media and Parliament, as well as providing a Public Enquires function. We work with a wide range of colleagues to develop and deliver the Bank's programme of outreach and education, which includes building strategic partnerships with other organisations and running the Bank's Museum.
We also develop and maintain our external website and social media presence and produce the Bank's flagship publications.
Department Overview
The successful candidate will join the Content & Strategy division of the Communications department, responsible for managing and developing the Bank’s external and internal communications.
The social media team works closely with web publishers, designers and content creators, and collaborates with teams across the wider organisation.
Job description
We are looking for a part-time 'Campaigns and Social Media Co-ordinator' to join us. This is a job share, with a working pattern of Monday to Wednesday.
The Campaigns and Social Media Co-ordinator is responsible for developing and delivering a programme of compelling digital communications campaigns in order to increase external engagement and ensure the Bank’s key messages are wide-reaching, impactful and consistent across all stakeholders.
You will work with the Social Media Manger and the wider Communications Directorate to ensure the Bank’s social media activities increase public engagement and understanding of the Bank.
Working alongside the Social Media Manager, the Co-ordinator will help implement a strategic campaigns-based approach to our communications. As part of this role, you will be encouraged to co-ordinate campaigns and tailor our social media communications in ways that increase their impact with target audiences.
This is a great opportunity to gain broad exposure to key marketing skills.
The successful candidate will have a proven grasp of digital trends and be required to implement strategies and tactics that grow, engage and retain our audience.
This role would suit a motivated individual with good organisational skills, ability to set priorities and be flexible and adaptable.

Salary and Benefits Information
This specific role offers a base salary of circa £28,050 - £31,860 per annum, on a full time basis (As this is a part time position, this salary will be pro-rated to account for the 3 day (0.6FTE) working week £16,830 - £19,116)

National Security Vetting Process
Employment in this role will be subject to the National Security Vetting clearance process (and typically can take between 6 to 12 weeks post offer) and the passing of additional Bank security checks in accordance with the Bank policy.
