Senior Cost Planner - Leading/Tier-1 Main Contractor

The Fawkes and Reece Group are currently assisting one of the UK's largest and most successful construction businesses with their search for an experienced Senior Cost Planner to join their Surrey-based team.

A successful candidate will be an experienced senior cost planner, who's worked with main contractors in the UK, with great knowledge of the bid process, pricing and document management within the construction industry.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have skills involving data analysis, research methods, quote preparation and budgeting. The client hopes to find an effective and positive communicator for the role who has great time management and attention to detail.

Our client is looking for someone with minimum 5 year's experience working as a Senior Cost Planner, and a candidate who can demonstrate a stable employment track record.

The ideal candidate will be able to multitask and have experience of managing and deliver major tenders on a standalone basis.

Key Accountability's will include:

• Prepare project approximate estimates, bills of quantities, cost plan measurements and project initial cost plans updating plans as design develops.

• Attend design team meetings and work with the design and planning team during the design stage of projects.

• Handover final cost plan to the estimating team for tender enquiries and procurement
• Review and agree best procurement routes for each work package. i.e., specification and drawings, CDP elements, fixed price lump sum, schedules of quantities

• Produce detailed tender analysis of quotes for all trades.
• Monitor the stages of PCSA periods ensuring costs are continuously compared with original forecasts.

For this role, our client is looking at paying between £80,000 and £90,000, depending on experience, however, they may consider a slightly higher basic salary for an exceptional candidate.
