Butler Rose is thrilled to be working with a medium-sized business that has had tremendous development in recent years and is poised to do even better now that it has signed on a significant international client. We are seeking a Senior Accountant with ambition and initiative to join their sizable finance team in Southampton because of this.


It's a thrilling time to join. To guarantee you get started right away by creating high-quality financial statements, reviewing your team's work, and contributing to process, you'll need the confidence and capabilities that come with being an advanced part qualified, finalist, or freshly qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA Accountant. You'll be producing quality financial statements, checking your teams work, and inputting on process improvements / automation.


Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

• Accounting for a complex range of funds, management companies and associated fund structures for a large global client
• Prepare accurate financial statements within strict deadlines
• Work on ad-hoc client ROI's ensuring tight timelines are achieved with enthusiasm and accuracy
• Oversee / check the work of junior team members
• Input / share ideas to improve processes
• Play an active part in the automation finance tasks
• Deal with the completion of routine audit queries
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions
• Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff

You'll be working with a skilled and highly capable team in a cutting-edge setting, therefore you'll need to demonstrate the following abilities:

• Proactive and self-sufficient, quickly learning up new systems and procedures; Advanced Part Qualified, Finalist, or Newly Qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACCA Accountant
• Excellent communicator, able to communicate with important stakeholders both internally and internationally
• Capable of reviewing others' work with assurance
