We're looking for a Safety Advisor to join our major projects team in Sellafield, based in Seascale, Cumbria. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Safety Advisor, you'll be working within the SHE team, supporting them with safety, health and welfare across the project, providing assurance to management and clients that works are completed in accordance with SHE legislation. Providing expert advice and coaching to the delivery team, driving improvements in performance excellence, always looking to be better.


  • Drive to deliver continual SHE improvements across the Business Unit

  • Ensure Kier’s SHE procedures are implemented to allow all relevant legislation to be complied with.

  • Alignment and compliance with client SHEW Code of Practice

  • Provide support and advice to site and management teams on SHE issues including best practice and innovation

  • Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are correctly reported and lead and support to investigations in accordance with Kier SHE policies and procedures


Who are we looking for?

This role of Safety Advisor is great for you if:

  • Demonstrable experience within the construction/Infrastructure industry with a minimum of NEBOSH construction certificate, hold or working towards IOSH Diploma/Grad IOSH.

  • Previous exposure to Environmental Management and Sustainability principles and have a good practical understanding of the principles of SHE legislation,

  • Ability to work on own initiative and good time management skills
