The Team

Our real estate team provides a full range of transactional and advisory real estate services - property development, property finance, property investment and corporate real estate work.

You'll work at the forefront of your field, collaborating with colleagues across the firm who are experts in theirs. You'll have direct access to top-calibre clients and benefit from early responsibility and ownership from day one.

Our clients are institutional investors, listed and private property companies, banks, developers, public sector bodies, corporate occupiers and high net worth individuals. We are a National leader for wind farm and nuclear energy work.

Key clients include:

John Lewis/Waitrose, UK Atomic Energy Authority, Hewlett-Packard Enterprises, Greater London Authority, Historic England, Virgin, EDP Renewables, St Modwen, the Crown Estate, Transport for London, Skanska, YTL, London & Regional Properties, , Lloyds, HSBC, Welsh Government, Gresham House, Twitter, Church Commissioners, National Trust, EDF.

  • Building the Culture: You'll deliver service excellence on all client matters and participate in cultural initiatives that underpin life at the firm, making Burges Salon a great place to work.
  • Delivering Results: Achieve your personal objectives and be aware of how to focus your contribution to support the firm's overall aims.
  • Growing our People: Establish a strong skills foundation, proactively looking for opportunities to broaden your technical / client experience wherever possible, and bring your best to all that you do.
  • Developing our Business: Assist efforts to develop new client relationships and enhance existing alliances.

What you'll need

  • Relevant experience or a demonstrable interest in working on high quality real estate transactions and matters
  • Be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
  • Be self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Must be qualifying as a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer in 2023
