Quantity Surveyor
Central London
£45,000 to £60,000 + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, well regarded cost and project management consultancy in Central London. The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with Network Rail, offering a variety of general contract, commercial and stakeholder management support across multiple projects within London & the South East.

Working closely with your colleagues, you will be tasked with providing support in managing and monitoring contractual compliance across different portfolios and agreements, protecting the clients commercial interests. This will involve lots of client, customer and internal stakeholder engagement.

Some of your additional duties will include:

• Managing the cost reporting of all projects including cost forecasting, anticipated final project costs, cost of work done, gross billing and current contract value
• Monitor site activities
• Manage assessment and valuation of contractors applications and processing of payment certifications
• Managing junior members of the team

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have experience in commercially managing investment projects of large, complex construction projects. You'll need a good understanding of railways and construction industry forms of contract (NR/NEC), good negotiation skills and ideally, familiar with NR systems, protocols, internal requirements and procedures.
