Quality Inspector Position Overview

My client is a SME manufacturer, supplying an expanding UK and international client base with a wide variety of advanced cooling products and systems for; industrial, power generation and automotive applications. They are based in the Redditch area and they are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team. You will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance for all aspects of quality.
• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; completing and confirming re-work meets the required standard.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment in good operating condition by following operating instructions.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Driving quality objectives to improve Company efficiency and profitability.
• Maintaining standards for health and safety in accordance with HSE standards.
• Recording, analysing and distributing Quality information.

Quality Inspector Position Requirements

• QA background within engineering and/or manufacturing.
• Ability to use a range of manual measurement equipment, additional knowledge of either CMM or Faro arm operation would be useful.
• Ability to read technical drawings and determine the requirements.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A good level of computer literacy.
• Able to get to Redditch on a daily basis

Quality Inspector Position Remuneration

• £21,000- £24,000 DOE
• Full benefits to be discussed
