Do you
have the skills and enthusiasm to help shape the future of a sector-leading
Library Service for the benefit of all North Yorkshire’s residents? If you are
creative, energetic and motivated, with an excellent eye for detail, this could
be an exciting opportunity for you.
We are seeking someone to join the
library service development team to support service-wide development and
strategic projects. We are looking for a professional who can
act as an effective advocate for the library service, liaising with a range of internal and
external partners to raise our profile and represent service and wider council
interests.
The role involves taking the lead on performance, ensuring that data is collated accurately,
interpreted and used to inform service improvement. This will include supporting and delivering training with locally based
teams, to improve services and engage audiences. You will also support the development and day-to-day management of technology used within the service, promoting use by staff and volunteers.
Whilst the position will be based at
Northallerton, as a modern council the role offers the opportunity to work
flexibly. You will have flexibility to work at alternative locations across our
hubs within North Yorkshire as well as home working. This allows for a positive work/life balance.
In return for your hard work and
dedication to our service, we can offer you the chance to be part of a strong
and supportive team. You will also benefit from a variety of competitive employee
rewards such as generous leave entitlement, local government pension scheme and
access to childcare vouchers which is just one of a range of salary sacrifice
schemes available.
