Job Profile

Project Engineer required. My client is a leading supplier of power Generation solutions across the UK and Europe. They are looking to bolster their install team by bringing on board a number of Project Engineers. The ideal candidate will come from an Electrical installation background and will report to the head of Emissions and Renewable energy, and be willing to travel and stay away from home overnight.

Project Engineer - Emissions Position Overview

  • Perform engineering assignments as part of design / project team for various projects assigned, following, and applying the systems and standards set by Sunbelt Rentals and OEMs under the guidance of Head of Emissions and Renewable Energy.
  • Highlight issues to Head of Emissions and Renewable Energy and propose ideas for continuous improvement on processes and systems.
  • Follow the work instructions and work descriptions given by the product design leader and/or Head of Emissions and Renewable Energy.
  • Responsible for projects from 'validation' all the way through to project financial close and handover to the engineering / delivery team.
  • Predicting and reporting on project progress and risks.
  • Managing various external consultants, technology suppliers and internal team resources
  • Maintain strong communication external stakeholders.
  • Managing technical on and off-site designs.
  • Representative testing and validation for emerging technologies.

Project Engineer - Emissions Position Requirements

  • An in depth understanding of the renewable energy and emissions industries.
  • Experience of diesel exhaust aftertreatment, SCR, DPF.
  • Electrical/mechanical background.
  • Extensive experience in a senior/leadership engineering role.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills - able to prioritise work load and work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Demonstrable project management (large scale event delivery) and customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills - including negotiating and influencing. You'll have the ability to engage and build relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team - you'll be an effective team member with a highly supportive, collaborative approach
  • Results driven approach
  • Comfortable using your own judgment and initiative to make decisions in line with our company policies and pricing structures
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, you'll enjoy a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environment where you'll manage multiple tasks, deadlines and targets whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy

Project Engineer - Emissions Position Remuneration

  • Permanent, Full time, Monday to Friday 47.5-hour contract
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
