We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Excellence Practitioner to join our team providing expertise in the development of the Facilities Management strategy and champion assigned workstreams.
What you'll do:
Lead the development and execution of the Facilities Management Manufacturing Excellence plans whilst ensuring it is aligned, supportive and enables the BU plans/scorecard and broader site Manufacturing Excellence plans.
Influence “ways of working” through the implementation of standard practices through working directly with “process teams” and “leadership teams”.
Build the capability of Facilities Management team and its application of AstraZeneca Supply Systems through building knowledge and the adoption of the appropriate behaviours and standard practices.
Lead Facilities Management and site portfolio projects and activities to realise agreed outcomes/benefits.
Provide Manufacturing Excellence expertise and keep track of technological and best practice developments within/outside AstraZeneca and assessing their impact on the function.
Lead the Facilities Management “lean maturity review” and completion of the agreed activities whilst ensuring consistency with the broader Site strategic plans.
Represent Facilities Management on BPM governance team whilst ensuring appropriate support is provided to assigned BPO/EPO in the maturity of their processes.
Provides governance to Facilities Management Improvement Council process.
Lead local Facilities Management Manufacturing Excellence and Six Sigma networks ensuring that they are aligned to other Site networks and best practices are identified/transferred.
Identify, scope and initiate/advise on cross functional improvement projects to implement the operational plans, improve plant utilisation and minimise PET impacts.
Present information and recommendations for discussion at higher levels within the business and influences decisions.
Lead and facilitate the deployment of Facilities Management continuous improvement strategy and annual target setting (inc. achievement)
Essential Skills & Experience:
Educated to degree level in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical/business discipline
Demonstrated significant experience in Lean/Six Sigma projects and programs
Working knowledge of supply chain processes
Requires a sound understanding of manufacturing and/or engineering processes and Safety, Health & Environment
Desirable
Six Sigma Black Belt training and/or certification from an accredited external Quality program
Experience of implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Expertise in the application of analytical problem solving methodology
Understanding of Good Automated Manufacturing Practice, current Good Manufacturing Practice and regulations as defined by local regulatory bodies
Sound understanding of Standard Operating Procedures, regulatory and compliance standards
