Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit a Junior Logistics Coordinator to join their busy team based in Crawley. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing logistics administrative support to the Operations Team and working towards training to be a competent Logistics Coordinator.

The ideal candidate for this Junior Logistics Coordinator role will possess good grades in both GCSE Mathematics and GCSE English and should have a basic knowledge of Geography. Additionally, this role will require an individual with strong communication skills, IT skills and teamworking abilities.

This role is perfect for somebody looking to develop a career within the Logistics industry, whilst also earning an industry-recognised qualification and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a clear pathway to becoming an International Freight Forwarder in the dynamic world of International Logistics
  • Consulting with clients, suppliers, airlines, Customs, and other departments within the Company
  • Communicating in person, by email and by phone
  • Involved in the end-to-end collation and securing of transport shipments by land, sea, and air
  • Assist with monitoring material transported and delivered for timeliness and legality
  • Assist with the reviewing, verification, and reconciliation of shipping documents
  • Provide support in completing paperwork and documentation
  • Conduct admin work, including typing, proofreading, and editing documents, correspondence, and reports for the Operations department
  • Support with developing and preparing databases, reports, and/or presentation material for the Operations department
  • Support with the preparation of shipping documents such as Commercial Invoices and Packing lists
  • Assist with the entering of data into spreadsheets from multiple sources, as well as verifying input and calculations
  • Provide support in the maintenance of the electronic filing system for administrative documentation that guarantees swift retrieval of requested documents

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum

Full Time: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week)
