The Licensing Officer post sits within the Community Protection Team (Trading Standards and Licensing) and the Safety, Resilience and Community Protection Division of the Communities and Neighbourhoods Directorate.
The post holder will carry out all clerical duties in relation to the processing and granting of licences, permits and consents relating to gambling premises licenced premises and taxi and private hire drivers and vehicle to name just a few. They will also be expected to undertake other functions including arranging appointments and meetings, filing, photocopying, dealing with customers word processing, preparation of licence reminders.
Applicants must have a good level of education and be a good communicator.
