My client is a London-based, seed phase FinTech Start-up. They've exclusively instructed us in their search for a Lead Data Scientist.
They’re not a traditional FinTech though, and cross strongly into the realm of EdTech. They operate in the mortgage lending sector, and work with lenders/institutions to reduce churn and increase customer retention. They look at complex behavioural churn and analyse a wealth of data they access directly from financial institutions.
The EdTech side of things comes into play on the application customers actually log into; they help people who don’t have strong levels of financial literacy understand their mortgage/long-term borrowing options, educating them on a myriad of concepts and providing them with personal and predictive analytics.
The role will see you building out ML infrastructure, training models, deploying models and working directly with customers to ensure rapid & accurate insights are in the right place at the right time.
You’ll be working on Natural Language Processing, recommender systems, predictive analytics, churn analysis, data infrastructure, ML architecture and much more. It covers the entire R&D – production pipeline!
The company is female led – their founders are ex VCs, so have fantastic networks in the financial world. They are London based but only do once a week in the office. The company has 30 people with a strong software & data engineering capacity.
Requirements:
The salary is up to £90,000 + Equity and strong benefits.
