Job Description

Torbay Pharmaceuticals have an exciting opportunity to join the Business Improvement team as an Improvement Specialist working on our Continuous Improvement Programme.

We are looking for someone with significant GMP knowledge and experience to lead technical and continuous improvement projects primarily within manufacturing and packaging. Experience of manufacturing production and clean rooms is essential for this role.

The Business Improvement and Strategic Change team is a dynamic highly skilled team leading and supporting project across the business. You will lead multiple technical and continuous improvement projects including projects associated with the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products within a sterile controlled environment and the packaging of pharmaceutical products within a controlled environment.

You will be working with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business to define and deliver improvement initiatives.

You will be able to identify process improvements to ensure greater efficiency and compliance within regulations and best practices and will work with teams across the business to facilitate the implementation of improvements.

You will be responsible for the creation and execution of the project plans using appropriate planning tools.

You will be comfortable challenging existing processes to drive efficiencies.

You should be able to understand and write Technical manuals, SOP’s, validation documents and work instructions

This role is based on site. There may be the opportunity for some remote working based on the project need.

About you:

You should have a Degree or equivalent level of ability gained through vocational experience

It is essential that you have significant working knowledge of GMP, cleanroom environments, working methods within controlled environments and associated microbiological requirements, COSSH regulations, chemical handling and associated H&S requirements

You should be comfortable providing and presenting technical presentations Experience in workshop facilitation would be an advantage.

It is essential that you have the ability to analyse difficult situations and information, and provide solutions

You will need knowledge of Project Management, Root cause analysis, and Analytical Analysis techniques.

Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodologies and process mapping would be an advantage.
