Team / Role Overview (Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract)

This position is within the Citi EMEA Early Careers Team which comprises talent acquisition and program management. The job holder will support the management of a specific group of Citi’s early career populations through managing well-executed programs. The role also includes involvement with regional and global recruitment and development projects. Program managers have a close working relationship with the business aligned talent acquisition partners.

Our team is remote, but Belfast is our home office. You should be within commutable distance to allow you to come on site when and as required for various events and initiatives important to your role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of a specific group of Citi’s analyst, associate and apprenticeship populations through managing well-executed programs.

  • Act as the HR point of contact for specifically assigned populations according to business area and/or geography.

  • Responsible for organising and executing effective rotations and placements within the specific business areas to ensure that both individual development needs and business needs are met.

  • Close partnership with business stakeholders to innovate and improve programs.

  • Work with Early Career Learning team on execution of training programs.

  • Responsible for initiating, monitoring and overseeing the performance management process for program participants.

  • Support the mid and long term career development of the early career populations by providing career coaching.

  • Work closely with HR Generalists/Advisors to solve issues related to program populations.

  • Partner with HR Generalists/Advisors and regional compensation teams to complete the year-end performance management and compensation process for program participants.

  • Ensure that all program participants and managers within specific business areas are fully trained and briefed on all aspects of the program life-cycle.

  • Support talent acquisition team regionally and globally on development project initiatives.

  • Create analyst mentoring schemes and development opportunities throughout the program.

  • Involvement with Early Careers marketing projects.

Knowledge / Experience

  • Recruitment and/or program management experience required.

  • Understanding of the banking industry and culture an advantage.

  • Understanding of specific developmental needs of early careers populations.

  • Banking/financial industry experience or experience working with a law firm or in-house legal function is beneficial.

  • An understanding of applicable EU and UK legal and regulatory obligations applicable to the financial services sector in the context of general commercial contracting and processes (an in-depth working knowledge of UK and EU Data Protection law and regulatory outsourcing requirements is particularly useful).

  • Proven analytical and organizational skills. Ability to sense and manage the emergence of risk and navigate stakeholders through that is key.

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.

  • Strong technical legal drafting skills and ability to juggle complex negotiations required.

  • Enthusiastic team player
