Job Summary

The Project Manager coordinates and oversees all Contract operations and acts as the primary point of contract with METRO (duty uniform is business or business casual attire as approved by the METRO Security Manager).

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, management, and direction to program supervisory and other staff and oversees all services required for program operation (e.g., training services, security services, logistics, etc.
  • Accountable to the METRO Security Manager and his designee for schedule, budget, performance, and quality service of all program elements.
  • Must have the authority to commit company resources for all actions necessary to perform work under this program, including training, accepting notices of deductions, contract modifications, inspection reports, and all other correspondence on behalf of the contractor.

  • Meets with the METRO Security Manager or designee on a weekly basis or as requested by METRO.
  • Ensures that all necessary Contractor effort is planned, provided, and maintained to the standards required by the contract.
  • Responds to verbal/written notifications of contract violations as specified by the METRO Security Manager or designee.
  • Attends all regularly scheduled meetings, as well as special and unscheduled meetings required by METRO.
  • Responds to electronic and verbal communications on a reliable and prompt basis regarding any/all aspects of the contract.
  • Ensures that there are sufficient personnel available to staff all required posts; all personnel must be pre-approved, trained, and fully qualified.
  • Must be knowledgeable regarding contract requirements and ensure that subordinate personnel adhere to all established standards and procedures.
  • Must be available onsite (1900 Main St) during normal business hours (8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday-Friday). During non-business hours, the Project Manager shall be able to respond to METRO sites in the Houston area within a 90-minute period.
  • As required, serve as initial On-Scene Commander during security/emergency incidents until relieved by MPD or other emergency management POC.
  • Perform the daily process as defined in team process documentation complete internal process for transferring employees
  • Identify/escalate issues to appropriate leadership and partner with other functional units to drive resolution.
  • Accountable for additional ad hoc projects as needed to resolve larger issues outside normal scope of team’s daily process.
  • Be a problem solver - Tackle issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic, common sense and data. Identify the root cause of a problem as opposed to focusing on the symptoms.
  • Act as super user and assist in training of other team members to support growth of Salesforce skill sets within multiple divisions.
  • Assists security staff with a variety of administrative processes on an as needed basis.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience,

or;

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience,

or;

  • An associate’s degree in criminal justice or similar from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of seven (7) years of supervisory experience,

or;

Successfully completed a minimum of ten (10) years of civilian or military law enforcement or commensurate private security, corrections, or other approved military experience (a minimum of seven {7} years must have been supervisory experience to the degree required under this contract).
