SUMMARY:
The Family Medicine Residency Program was accredited in 2017 and provides full spectrum, rural family medicine through a clinic first model offering continuity clinic from the start. The program is unopposed and is a collaboration between our community's only Trauma III designated hospital, St. Joseph, and the area's largest outpatient primary care provider, Open Door Community Health Centers (FQHC). Open Door Community Health Centers offers many special programs including Obstetrics and Teen Services, Homeless outreach van, HIV/Hep-C Program, Integrative Wellness Center, Transgender Services, MAT Programs, and a Dental and NP residency program. St. Joseph Hospital is a 138 bed full-service acute care facility that offers cardiac surgery and interventional Cath Lab, fully accredited Cancer Program with infusion center, 64-slice CT, MRI, PET, PET/CT, Stereotactic Radio Surgery, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, Childbirth Center with the only Level II NICU on the North Coast, and a 24/7 ER with Level III Trauma designation and more.
