An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Band 6 Senior Radiographer to join our established team. Please note that this post will be based at Ilkeston Hospital , with a requirement to work at our other community sites which include Ripley Community Hospitals, Florence Nightingale Community Hospital, St Oswald's Hospital and Long Eaton Health Centre.

You will help support the radiographic teams and deputize for the Superintendent when required.

The Imaging department is a busy plain film service, serving mainly the outpatient clinics and GP's. We also provide theatre imaging. We have DR equipment and modern c-arms. Ilkeston Community Hospital and Florence Nightingale Community Hospital are currently undergoing a large investment in diagnostic services as part of the NHS Community Diagnostic Centres initiative. This will include expansion of plain film, Ultrasound, CT and MRI and these sites.

There will be a commitment to weekend working and evenings as part of the CDC expansion.

We have a very busy radiology department, our main sites at Queen's Hospital Burton and the Royal Derby Hospital, have CT, MRI, NM, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and plain film.

We are fully QSI accredited.

As a progressive teaching department for Radiographers we have established links to Universities and actively encourage CPD and role extension, with support available to pursue academic courses and develop your career within a supportive and friendly environment.
