The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon at Saxon Vets & Framlingham Vets!
We are looking for a new vet to join our team at Framlingham and Saxon sites, which have recently merged to become one practice, and are expanding.
We are looking for a competent surgeon with an interest in medical cases. Ideally an all-round general practitioner who is looking to progress in their career.

Maybe you’re feeling a leaning towards imaging, or orthopaedics, maybe you have a certificate and are looking to use it passing on your knowledge to the rest of team.
Either way we are looking for someone with a proven track record in great service, excellent client retention, and a love of all the variation that first opinion work brings.

We strongly encourage case continuity, and you will be expected to work across both of our sites which are based 6 miles apart. The 2 sites have recently successfully merged and have formed a fantastic team.

Full time shifts would be 40 hours across 4 days. 1:5 Saturdays recovered as TOIL the following Friday, so you get a lovely long weekend! No out of hours work required. Our rota is fixed several months in advance (unless in exceptional circumstances) and you will only work at one site per day.

Salary would be up to £63,000 depending on experience.

About Us

Our Framlingham branch is our main surgical base, consultations and Nurse clinics are also carried out here. We have all the usual toys including x-ray, dental x-ray, and ultrasound facilities. We have separate cat and dog kennels, dedicated theatre facilities, a spacious prep area and a separate dental suite.
Saxon is mainly consult and nurse clinic based, although we do have facilities for admits and basic procedures here at this site.

We are so lucky to have an excellent support team (receptionists, nurses, etc) and the lovely profile of long-standing clients in a well-off and educated part of the Country.

This is a beautiful part of Suffolk, plenty of lovely countryside around the lovely town of Woodbridge, very close to the popular Suffolk Coast, Heathland, Woodland, and some fabulous beaches. All whilst being within an easy drive to London and Stansted airport.

About the Team and Culture

We currently have 5 veterinary surgeons one who is a certificate holder in ophthalmology. The experience of our current team ranges from 30 years to two fantastic recent graduates who a working through their graduate programmes, including two senior vets who have a vast array of knowledge and experience and very happy to support and learn as necessary.
We currently have 5 RVN's, 2 student nurses, and a team of very competent VCA’s and receptionists in order to make a vet’s life as easy as possible.
The team are very social and we have regular meet ups throughout the year, as well as the big SaxFram Fest party held in the summer!

Applicant Requirements

Ideally you will be a people person who is happy to work well with both clients and as part of a team. You will have ample experience to bring to the role and be able to provide a new set of skills to the existing team.
