Summary
The governing board of St James' Lanehead Primary school are looking to appoint two enthusiastic, dedicated teaching assistants to join our fantastic team.
We are looking for individuals who:
- are enthusiastic and committed with a ‘can do’ attitude
- can work as part of a team
- can work effectively with students, parents and other school stakeholders.
- have the ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve
- can improve the outcome of children across school
- are individuals who have a passion for reading and who can add to our school with sport/music and the arts
- Individuals who have an understanding of the SEN code of practice
- Individuals who have an understanding of how to challenge more able pupils
- are willing to promote our school mission statement "Our church school seeks to inspire each individual to flourish, grow and learn with Jesus at the heart of all we do"

The hours of work are 8.45am until 3.45pm Monday-Friday with a half hour lunch break. Half an hour is spent each day at lunchtime running activities for children on the yard. This position is part time, term time only, . If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent Maths and English

Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
Experience of supporting pupils with diverse needs
Have experience of working 1:1 with children within a classroom setting
