Intervention Teacher

Protocol Education is working alongside Wiltshire based Secondary Schools to appoint a individuals to deliver intervention work across thier general teaching and SEN teams.

The role of an Intervention Teacher is very similar to a Teaching Assistant, and is to support both learners and teachers throughout the school day. You will be required to help with in class support, run extra interventions to consolodate learning and support students on a one to one basis.

Job Overview

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with students
  • Supporting learners through all aspects of education, whilst promoting independence
  • Nurturing students social, emotional health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver engaging and supportive internvetion to individuals/small groups to aid learning

What the School is Looking For

  • Previous experience of working with students with children and young people
  • Experience of working with children with behaviour and SEND is desirable
  • Good level of behavioural management
  • Ability to build positive rapport with both students and staff
  • Resilient and nurturing presence and characteristics
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing tasks/situations
