LOCATION

Infleqtion has 6 office locations, operating out of Austin, TX; Boulder/Louisville, CO; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; London, UK; and Melbourne, AU. This position is a full-time, hybrid position that will be located in our Oxford, England office.

Position Summary

Our team is looking for a full-time Process/Production Engineer to join our fast-growing team located in central Oxford. The Process/Production Engineer will assist in placing ut quantum products and devices into production, as well as support internal processes across all R&D projects.

ColdQuanta UK is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ColdQuanta, Inc. headquartered in Boulder/Louisville, Colorado. ColdQuanta leads the market in commercialising quantum atomics, the next wave of the information age. Our Quantum Core™ technology uses ultra-cold atoms cooled to a temperature of nearly absolute zero using lasers to manipulate and control the atoms with extreme precision. From Quantum Core technology we manufacture components, instruments, and turnkey systems that address a broad spectrum of applications ranging from timekeeping and navigation to quantum computing, and from radiofrequency (RF) receivers to quantum communications systems.

Qualified candidates must have permission to work in the UK and be able to travel to the US and throughout Europe as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support Infleqtion’s product lifecycle processes across both R&D projects and Infleqtion’s product range in our UK (Oxford) office
  • Promote the proper use of lifecycle and engineering processes across the company
  • Help define future lifecycle process systems and tools, such as ERP systems
  • Work with Engineering and Scientist functions to commercialize R&D outcomes into high quality quantum products
  • Work with Process, Quality and Product Management colleagues in Boulder (Colorado) and other Infleqtion offices
  • Own work instructions and technical documentation of our existing and future products in the UK
  • Ensure UK office follows best practice for engineering processes/document control/engineering change orders, including CAD vault workflow
  • Help gear up future production facilities based on company requirements
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • A technical degree in engineering or related field is required
  • Ideally 5 years relevant work experience
  • Ideally familiar with the design and operation of opto-mechanical systems
  • Proven experience of working with engineering PDM/PLM systems, including taking products through a full qualification process
  • SolidWorks experience or similar CAD package
  • Technical documentation knowledge
  • Experience of DFMEAs and PFMEAs
  • Experience using and ideally implementing an ERP system
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience working in a hi-tech R&D environment
  • Experience of setting up assembly/production operations from scratch/knowledge of what is needed when
  • First time right mentality
  • Knowledge or experience of Six Sigma, Poka-yoke, Capacity planning
  • Can work on a team within multi-discipline environments
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively share information with technical and non-technical staff
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work in a team environment where engagement and participation are an expected part of successful job performance
