As
a Volunteer Coordinator at
Change Grow Live, you will recruit, train, support and place a diverse range of volunteers within projects and the wider community. You will identify meaningful opportunities for volunteers, and support their welfare and wellbeing.

Hours: 30 Hours per week
Salary: £26,393.77 – £30,316.74 pro rata
Responsibilities:
About the role:
- Liaising with the referrer directly to get an overview of the young person’s history, support needs and aspirations.
- Liaising with the volunteer and the young person around the Independent Visitor relationship.
- Liaising with other providers/partners within and beyond the project to identify suitable structured activity eg, charitable donations
- Liaising with the young person’s carers and support, with the young person’s agreement
- Monitoring volunteer attendance and timekeeping
- Ensuring all the necessary young person/volunteer paperwork is correctly completed and stored.
- Taking a proactive role in participant safeguarding.
- Taking a proactive role in promoting equal opportunities.
- Demonstrate responsibility for own continuing professional development (CPD) by proactively maintaining and updating relevant knowledge and skills.
- Maintain clear case records in CGL’s Criis Information System to auditing standards for the purpose of information retrieval, statistical monitoring and commissioner report preparation.
- Take part in regular project meetings and review meetings
- Carry out volunteer recruitment, volunteer interviews and deliver volunteer training. Maintain volunteer recruitment records.
About you:
- Use word processing and confident with spreadsheet software
- Use IT to exchange information
- Use database software
- Store, retrieve and archive information
- Accurate record keeping and data input skills
- Good literacy and ICT skills
- Participate in meetings
- Experience of partnership work and liaising with a wide range of agencies. Private and voluntary sectors
- Planning work and meeting deadlines
- Ability to record information to enable assessment of need, maintenance and evaluation
- Experience in recording information on data information systems and analysing and interpreting data
- Experience of working with challenging and vulnerable young people
- Experience of working with young people with mental health and/or learning difficulties
