Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on relevant experience

About the Role

The Management Accountant will play a crucial, proactive role in supporting the finance team to deliver quality information, in a timely manner, to assist the leadership team in their decision making. Responsible for carrying out cost accounting functions, including, analysis of Cost of Sales data and stock reporting and reconciliations. The role will report directly into the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reporting that communicates understanding of both stock and project costs to business stakeholders to support decision making
• Monitor, challenge and understand any stock losses within the business and support relevant teams to minimize this moving forward
• Monitor and control Bills of Material costing and review/update standard cost in-line with policy
• Assist with annual inventory counts and spot check cycle counts
• Significant involvement with year end process and liaison with external auditors during the annual company audit
• Drive improvements to stock systems/data quality
• Assist FC in annual budget preparation and new standard cost setting
• Provide cover for other members of the finance team as necessary
• Ad-hoc project work as and when required
• Perform other related duties as required

About You

Qualifications

Part/Fully Qualified: AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA

Skills and Experience

• Energetic personality, driven and people person who thrives in fast paced environment
• Excellent communication and IT skills with a good knowledge of Excel
• Exposure to a project management led business an advantage
• Experience of Stock control and reporting
