A global leading manufacturing business based in Droitwich is looking to recruit for a Junior Buyer on a full-time permanent basis.

Role - Junior Buyer

Type - Permanent

Locations - Droitwich

Salary - Up to £30,000

Hybrid working

Key responsibilities for Junior Buyer and will not be limited to:

• Tactical and strategic sourcing of services, products and suppliers
• Identify cost saving opportunities such as supplier consolidation.
• Supplier relationship & contract management to ensure best value & performance.
• Maintain core preferred suppliers list, reviewing performance monthly.
• Working alongside the Procurement Manager to negotiate contracts, SLA's and determine suitable KPI's.
• Collaboration with internal customers to ensure business procurement needs are met, and in line with budget and timescales.
• Administrate support to include raising PO's, transport pricing requests & documentation.

Key skills and experience required for Junior Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:

• Ability to understand, articulate and lead the strategic sourcing process
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Experience building supplier relationships.
• Proven experience in a procurement role.
• Good Analytical skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets using Excel.
• A strong team player with a drive to succeed.
• Experience or understanding of procuring indirect services (desirable)
• Exposure or understanding of contracts & contract management (desirable)
• CIPS Level 4 Qualified or working towards (desirable)
