This warm and welcoming SEN specialist school in the heart of Newcastle are looking to appoint a SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant for the new academic year, starting this September. As a SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting pupils in class, utilising the sensory rooms/outdoor play areas, and creating a fun learning environment.
SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant -- Role Description
SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant -- graduate role
Paid teaching support placement 80 -- 95 per day
September start, interviews in June/July, shortlisting for the role now!
Based in the same school for the full academic year -- September -- July
Full-time, Monday -- Friday role
Support pupils with SEN/SEMH across the school
Work closely with the class teacher to identify which pupils require additional support
Utilise the sensory rooms at appropriate times of the day
Adhere to learning support plans and record progress
Act as a good role model for all pupils
