Fire Safety Consultant

Amazing forward thinking Fire Consultancy with an excellent culture and outstanding reputation. This is a Fire Consultancy that has strong departments with exceptional and passionate fire professionals who all collaborate well and are always ready to help each other.

As a Fire Consultancy they work on Pre Construction as well as Post Construction. Due to expansion they are now looking for a Fire Safety Consultant that can work on their PAS 9980 and FRA (EW) side of the business including Fire Strategies across a variety of buildings for their large portfolio of clients.

They currently have a team of 8 Fire professionals that is split between Fire Risk Management / Consultancy as well as Fire Engineering Design.

Responsibilities of the Fire Safety Consultant

  • Acting as a key Fire Consultant throughout programmes of work for our clients.
  • Creating and reviewing Retrospective Fire Safety Strategies on a wide spectrum of buildings
  • Undertaking Fire Risk Assessment on High Risk, High-Rise Buildings.
  • Validating and auditing Fire risk assessments
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff
  • Liaising with internal stakeholder including attending meetings to provide the technical input for the clients and support with acquiring new accounts.
  • Delivering commissioning of fire safety systems during pre-occupation.
  • Provide technical advice with The Regulatory Reform Order 2005 (RRO) and the Fire Safety Act 2021.
  • Role will involve attending sites once or twice a week.

Essential Requirements for the Fire Safety Consultant

  • Proven experience in Fire Risk Assessments on High Rise Buildings and Retrospective Fire Strategies.
  • Professional Fire Qualification in Fire safety Management / Fire Risk Assessments
  • Minimum Tech grade with IFE / IFSM or similar
  • Ability to work with others as well to own initiative
  • Good organisation and time management skills
