Position Summary:

Thermo Fisher’s Swindon site is implementing a variety of digital solutions to support a wide variety of applications. This includes use of Microsoft HoloLens headset for remote presence and remote assistance. Swindon is leading the way with its use of 3D scanning to provide digital solutions for manufacturing, engineering, project management and microbiological work flows. Another technological keystone in use is the virtual reality room - giving the company the ability to place employees in a clean room simulator. The simulator provides a safe virtual environment that gamifies the work and in turn improves skill retention and behaviour refinement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the site Digital Specialist to create, train and manage AR/ VR training modules and guides:
• Creating user guides & training users in use of HoloLens & VR technologies
• Creation of practical training modules in AR/VR platforms
• Other tasks supporting the digital technology implementation to Swindon.
• Supporting other compliance activities as required. This may include aspects of supplier assurance, training, supporting audits and inspections etc

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer studies or similar with an emphasis on industrial applications of AR/VR
• Computer literate with MS Office Suite with an interest in coding
• Ability to work methodically and logically
• Ability to maintain attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn and follow processes and regulatory guidelines
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Physically able to occasionally enter clean room environments and walk and stand in industrial settings
