HVAC Design Engineer required for a specialist contractor based in Somerset, who manufacturer, design, install and commission a wide range of products within the climate control and ventilation sector. Due to the expansion of the business and taking on more project they now require a Design Engineer within the HVAC sector with a high level of knowledge in ventilation and climate control.

The HVAC Design Engineer will be Working closely with the internal departments to ensure that the overall product solutions are fit for purpose, answering technical queries from customers and internal staff. The HVAC Design engineer would specifically need experience in manual heat load, heat transfer and fluid dynamics. The role requires you to carry out heat load and hydronic calculations, including pipe and duct sizing as well as pressure loss calculations which leads to equipment selection and the design of the plant layout. The HVAC Design Engineer will also be required to have a basic electrical calculation knowledge, with experience using AutoCAD MEP and 3D Revit. Part of the role is to produce a customer technical pack detailing all calculations, Installation requirements, Specifications, Energy usage, drawings, and Schematics.

HVAC Design Engineer Position Requirements

• 3+ years' experience as a HVAC design engineer, in the UK
• HNC or equivalent / higher qualification within the HVAC / Mechanical industry
• Able to carry out calculations, including heat load and hydronic, pipe and duct sizing and pressure loss calculations
• Experience using AutoCAD MEP and 3d Revit
• Located within commutable distance of the Bridgewater area

HVAC Design Engineer Position Remuneration

• £45,000 to £55,000 basic salary depending on experience
• 40-hour basic work week
• 4% employee pension contribution
• Full package discussed at interview
