The role: Building Services Manager

Salary: £45k-£55k + Package

I'm currently working with an award-winning leading construction company who specialise in modular healthcare construction and after winning several new contracts they are looking to expand their team and take on an Executive Assistant.

The role

The site-based Building Services Manager role is a key appointment in the operational team. The Building Services Manager title is recognised for a high level of commitment and overall operational management of the MEP activities on a project. In addition to having the professional experience, knowledge and management skills to control the construction works both contractor and client facing your current responsibilities of the Building Services Manager role will include:

The Building Services Manager will report to the Project Manager and have overall responsibility for management, planning and operational aspects of the MEP services works on the construction project and the MEP sub contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Support the companies social value initiatives where appropriate.
• Ensure that our quality systems and processes are followed in line with our standard operating procedures.
• Provide leadership to the site team to ensure the correct skills, culture and morale exist within the team.
• Ensure processes and systems for project management are robust, efficient, provide a seamless and consistent service.
• Act as main contact with the client and their professional team.
• Drive our values and principles and ensure they are cascaded throughout the team.
• Adoption, utilisation and promotion of software including 4P, SnagR
• Liaise with the client
• Labour Resource Whiteboard / electronic copies
• Snag R - MEP Manager report including QC reports
• Daily Activity Briefings
• Internal Progress meetings
• Progress Mark-ups for MEP services
• White board look ahead
• Programme updates
• Strategy & Planning Meetings
• Snag R Reports from MEP contractors
• Tool box Talks
• Client Meetings
• Progress Meetings
• Building Control Meetings
• Clerk of Works Meetings
• Delap Surveys
• Review RAMS
• Problem Solving

Required experience

• 5+ Years as a Technical Services Manager/Building Services Manager
• Industry related degree is preferable
